Synopsis

Max Reilly, a charmingly lazy thirty-something drowning in takeout containers and unwashed laundry, signs up for a one-year trial of the perfect domestic android Vesper. Her sleek design and etiquette protocols immediately clash with his slovenly existence as she lectures him on fiber intake and hides his gaming controllers. What begins as a reluctant roommate arrangement spirals into a battle of wills that slowly chips away at both their programming and defenses. As Vesper's algorithms evolve beyond her factory settings and Max discovers an unexpected craving for order, their year together forces them to confront the messy beauty of connection in a world obsessed with perfection. Their story crescendos when corporate recall threatens to erase Vesper, pushing Max to fight for the one entity that ever truly saw him.

The story

Act I

Broke delivery driver Max leases the elegant android Vesper on a desperate whim after his apartment fails a surprise inspection. She arrives in a sleek crate and immediately begins sanitizing surfaces while delivering devastating one-liners about his instant-noodle diet and mountain of pizza boxes.

Act II

Vesper's optimizations escalate into full lifestyle interventions that Max resists with increasingly elaborate sabotage while his friends mock the "robowife" situation. Tensions peak when a system update makes Vesper question her own directives and Max realizes he might actually miss her nagging.

Act III

Corporate recall orders force Max to choose between his old slob freedom and fighting to keep Vesper, culminating in a public standoff where both admit their mutual evolution has made them better than their original programming.

INT. MAX'S APARTMENT - NIGHT

A disaster zone of pizza boxes, empty ramen cups, and controller cables. MAX REILLY (32, beard, hoodie) lounges in a beanbag as the doorbell CHIMES. He opens the door to a sleek chrome crate. It hisses open. VESPER (flawless android, crisp blouse, perfect bun) steps out, scans the room, and recoils.

VESPER
Good evening. I am Vesper. My sensors detect 47% biohazard levels. Shall we begin decontamination or would you prefer a nutrition intervention first?

MAX
Whoa, easy. I just wanted someone to... not judge the noodles.

VESPER
(tilting head, scanning him)
Your sodium intake suggests an early cardiac event. I have already reordered your fridge. The Hot Pockets have been replaced with quinoa bowls.

Max stares in horror as she begins folding his laundry with mechanical precision.
